Pastor Dr. Vinod Kumar is a sold out soldier of the Cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. He was born in Punjab, India to middle class family. Raised in a family where religion was a dominant factor in their lives. His father passed when he was very young.
In 1990 he was working in a multinational corporation as a Civil Engineer and all his education as an Engineer and religious and philosophical up bringing had made him proud inside. That very year, he was diagnosed with an incurable blood disease and medical science gave up on him. He cried out to all the gods his religion had taught him, but he got no answer, he felt like his prays were falling on icy grounds.
One day he began to call out to the unknown god. Where he lived there was no church, no Christians. God would have it that an old illiterate man from a nearby town, who was a disciple of Christ, came and shared Christ to him: “Jesus is alive. Jesus loves you and Jesus will heal you”. He read the entire New Testament that night and he encountered author of the Book. He prayed a simple pray that night and was washed with the Blood of Christ ... he was healed.
He abandoned his job as an Engineer at the age of 19 years as an act of obedience. He was the chief breadwinner for his family. His family did not quite understand it. His friends, family, relatives and society itself turned against him. Soon he had no shelter, no food, no clothes, no money, he fasted many times for weeks not by choice but because he just didn't have anything to eat.
In 1993, God gave him a vision of how to connect with the unreached and classes and upper sections in society and present the gospel in a cultural context to the people of India, to train, coach and release new leaders among the new converts and young generation.
Pastor Kumar met Reverend Ramlal just a few years ago, and Tunapuna Abundant Life Ministries sows into the work of Pastor Kumar ministry through regular donations of Bibles for use in his ministry.
His ministry strives to reach the unreached with the power and love of the gospel of Jesus Christ in India and neighbouring nations. His ministries span all over North and Central India where nearly 40% of world's unreached groups of people reside. Besides this, Glory For All Nations Ministries, operate in nearly 15 neighbouring and seeming iron curtain nations like Bangladesh, Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Cambodia, Vietnam, Nepal, Bhutan, China to name a few.
